MMI 3G Emergency Update Stuck. Hello Everyone, I think I bricked my MMI. Its stuck in the Emergency Update Mode. I was messing around in the green screen and accidently hit emergency update without knowing what it was. The system restarted on its own and went into Emergency Update Mode. I do not have any MMI software to get it out of it.
Hi everyone. I`m trying to update my q5 MMI. This is the current version - 3g High i think. I am a little lost in the begining and downloaded this one : 8R0 060 884 HF - 6.31.1 2020/2021 MMI 3G High/Plus Europe 2020/2021 After few LIT errors installed the update but nothig happened. Just the NAV says - Invalid database
Check the installed software and verify an update is available. Initiate the MMI software update by entering the red engineering update menu automatically. Automatically start the update and accept starting all prompts. Complete the update and accept ending all prompts. Start the SVM feedback to the SVM server.

Both the updates can be done in less than 2 hours. I'd suggest using a battery tender or keep the engine so the car won't shutdown in between and stop the update. Also, since engine would be off, do not open the driver door as it shuts down MMI and stops the update.

He's asked to unlock the Navigation disc drive to swap to a European Map disc while on holiday.
