Windows 10 /Nvidia rtx2060 super. Browse game files and look for far cry 2 .exe in the bin folder right click and click on compatibility then tick run as administrator. Next in the display select resolution - 1280x1024. Next select refresh rate of 60hz and say yes to vsync. Next select direct x 9 then restart the game.

It installs via Steam like normal, and then instead of running the usual "first time played" things like DirectX and Punk Buster, it displays the Far Cry 2 splash screen which disappears after about a second and that's it. It seems like the game is trying to launch but then closes itself almost instantly. I'm running Windows 7, playing on a non FdejNp.
