Apparently the captains were all slashing away at Momo during the final fight in the Arrancar Arc, but since the captains spoke to Ichigo a while back before they all gang up on Aizen, I'm guessing Aizen is still Aizen at that point. So how the **** did he switch himself with Momo such that Ichigo didn't notice Aizen swapping himself with Momo

Hinamori is an important friend to several characters (Hitsugaya and most vice-captains, at least), so of course they'd go out of their way to help her out even if she's occasionally a liability. That said, she's really not that much of a scrub as far as vice-captains go. She's probably the best Kido users among them.
