I agree with changing autobox fluid regularly - most people don't because Vauxhall documents show "lubricated for life" (unless severe conditions). Fluid requirement is Dexron 3 (originally) or Dexron 6 (the current, improved, spec and backwards compatible with all lower Dexron numbers. Maintains :- Vectra Design 1.9CDTi & Hyundai i30.
The 168bhp 2.0-litre diesel is a better choice if you regularly fill the Zafira Tourer’s seven seats, or do a lot of motorway miles. It feels a fair bit more powerful than the 1.6-litre diesel
It's worth looking under the hood. Our winner guarantees a speedy driving experience, as Renault Kangoo goes to 60 miles per hour for 11.2 sec while Opel Zafira makes the same for 14.3 sec . Also, pay attention to the maximum speed of 164 km/h / 102 mph for Kangoo and match it to 192 km/h / 119 mph for Zafira.
Verdict: ★★★★★★★☆☆☆ (7.3/10) It’s easy to underestimate a car that is simply built to do a job. It’s also easy to underestimate the challenge involved in building a good seven-seater, but fortunately Vauxhall hasn’t. The Zafira Tourer is designed for a straightforward purpose and, unsurprisingly, it proves
Our 1.4-litre Turbo SRi Nav model costs £24,000 which, when you consider the equipment included, is great value for money if you are after a seven-seat MPV. The most obvious benefit of the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer when compared to rivals is its starting price. At £19,530, it is between £1,500 to £3,000 cheaper than many of its key competitors
Vauxhall Zafira 1.6. - Victorbox. Depends what you want or how you drive it. My new model 1.6 petrol Zafira was delivered in January to replace a 1.9dci Megane diesel, so of course I was worried about a lack of oomph. It was doing about 35mpg when engine was new & very tight & overtaking took some judgment after a turbo diesel.
